During one of my market days I happen to come across a lovely WWOOFER by the name of Miriam. She is from Germany and wanted to come and help me on the farm. This is called wwoofing, willing workers on organic farms. The deal is that you give them food and board and they give you 3 - 6 hours per day in labour on the farm. This generally works out pretty well. I had her doing some whipper snippering, something that she had never done before and also weeding, mulching, looking after all the animals and planting vegies. Miriam really appreciated her time on the farm and I enjoyed her company and it is also great experience for the kids. We did a couple of hard days of landscaping, as per photo. We put weed mat down and then put bark mulch around the existing trees and this made the entrance to the driveway very neat and tidy. This is something that I had wanted to do for about a year and I love coming up the driveway now so thanks Miriam for all your hard work and effort. Safe travels.....

The year 2012 is going to be a fantastic new year for me and the kids. This year is year of the dragon in the chinese calendar and is very powerful. I have just found out that I have got into AGFEST which is one of Tasmania's biggest ag shows for the year. I am very excited and at the same time very scared about how much stock I am now going to have to make.
2011 was a very eventfull and hard year for me personally and I would like to personally thank all of my friends and family for helping me through one of the toughest times in my life, I have got through it and am coming out ok at the other end. Thank you |
